Be nice, Sanju....

"Sanju!! You should stop using bad words!!!". Ooooopssss.... Somehow a bad word had slipped into the conversation and the voice that is seldom stern with me was now stern enough to keep me quiet.. Besides, what convincing argument can you give in favour of using bad words?? So, I took a promise then and there to stop using bad words.. Well, how hard can it be?? I had just reached Bangalore to join Wipro.. I was enthusiastic at the prospect of finally being able to earn a buck, I am the oldest in my family to start earning - which I consider as an insult and the fact that I am in Bangalore which is supposed to be a really big deal.. It is in this scenario that I took my oath.. A little flashback though.. As you all know I did my B.Tech in CUSAT.. Now this college has greatly affected the way I speak.. Bad words are part and parcel of every conversation.. With only few girls in college, one can hear bad words being thrown around without much hesitation.. Plus with friends like

Sanju Nair! PHASE 3

Hi! I am back.. I have not been busy, no... but I have been very very lazy... This is my first post is more than a year.. It was not meant to be that way.. I have couple of drafts which I never published and probably I wont publish now as the topics were on the final days of my college life.. A little outdated and irrelevant if I publish them now!! Every person goes through various phases in his/ her life.. I like to categorize mine into school life, college life and now work life.. So glad to inform I have entered the 3rd phase and probably the most important phase of my life.. Joined Wipro @ Bangalore for training.. This shall serve the purpose of "About me" till I enter my next phase... More about me in my coming posts..

An unforgettable movie....

Well, being a CUSAT-ian, I have had a hell lot of time for trips and movies.... Movies like "colors" do a great job of keeping people away from the theatres... These movies are intended to make sure that viewers never return to the movie theatre, no sir, not even for popcorn... Still, I dont know if its my youthful stamina or the excellent training from CUSAT (believe me, if you are still breathing after 2 hours of RTS, then you can handle pretty much anything life manages to throw at you) but time and again I find myself standing in the queue for tickets praying "Please God, have mercy, I am spending 50 bucks here..." On the other hand, its Sreeni's money, Ullas's free car ride, so I got nothing to lose, hence decided to go for "Delhi 6".... Well "colors" and co. seemed to have worked their magic, for the queue was deserted... So much for the death ride Ullas gave us thinking there might be a rush for the movie... There were precisely 8

The Barber Shop

"Hachooooo.....". Oh no! Its the third time I sneezed in the last hour.. My ma comes dashing from the kitchen almost knocks me over due to the inertia and without even waiting to catch her breath, gives her diagnosis.. "Time for your haircut, San", she says.. According to her, failure to shorten your hair exactly once every month will give you this disease characterized by running nose, sneezing etc which will vanish once you visit the barber shop.. I try to argue saying that if that is the case, then guys with long hair like Hrithik would have been hosptilazied.. She asks me, "Then why did Dhoni and Ishant cut their hair?".. Stumped!!! Smart woman.. Hmmm... No use arguing with ma, she always wins.. Now, why did they cut their hair?? Is it really because they were catching cold..??.. Mothers do that to you.. They can convince you to believe anthing they want you to.. So, off I went to the barber shop.. You know, this monthly routine that I have been doing

The Inevitable.......

The other day, I was just chilling with my friends.. The exams had only just gotten over and we had just gotten together for another of our trips, having loads of fun and chit-chat, when it struck me.. S8! Man, I tell you I know I just finished another semester but S8, already?? It was almost scary, all this fun, all these great times, coming to an end?? I wondered aloud, "Guys, can you believe we are going to be in S8 in a couple of weeks?".. I hear Sunitha's matter-of-fact voice..."Yeah, we should grab the S8 books from library before others take them all!!".. This very unexpected reply stunned me into silence... Boy, I should stop hanging out with geeks!!! Ullas looks at me and goes "who told you it was S8, its only S6!!" and gives me his "what-an-idiot" look... Oh no!!! As always we are facing a bigger problem now.. Realization dawns not only on Ullas but on the rest of the gang.. We give each other a "I am gonna miss you" look.

Me too....

Well...Its been quite some time now since i decided that i too should join the ever growing community of bloggers and write same crap nobody is interested in or nobody cares about.. Well, if Ullas can, so can I...,right? hell, yeah... I thought the major problem about blogging is well..blogging...you know, what should i write? WRONG.... It turns out writing/typing is not as hard as selecting a domain name for the blog... Naturally i wanted my blog to sound smart, you know, thats the trend... We already have 6 billion+ people and its only natural that we become selective and select only the "smart" guys... Alas, all smart captions and all smart punch lines I could think of was already taken... Between, I considered using "anevenmorebeautifulmind" to snub ullas but then decided against it... Mainly because I hate advertisement, unlike "other" "snake-loving" people (I can't help it mate, Sorry..Last one at you, i promise)... Then i thought maybe
